News:

CYBERJAYA, Friday (10 August) – Astrums Consulting Sdn Bhd, a Singapore based company that is highly experienced in SAP implementations, software development and IT training and consulting, reinforced its mark in Malaysia when it was recently awarded the MSC Malaysia status early this year.

This is proof of its continuous growth plans in the region and globally through Malaysia after the opening of their second office here in Kuala Lumpur, late last year.

With a primary customer base in Singapore and Malaysia , Astrums Consulting realised that its expansion in Malaysia was imminent.

Astrums Consulting Managing Director Sreerangan Kurup said, “Malaysia offers a great potential for business growth as the market is growing. The extensive and cost competitive supply of workforce makes it an attractive location”.

Very pleased with the support they received from MDeC in attaining the MSC Malaysia status, Astrums Consulting envisioned that attaining the status will also result in additional publicity and will be a good sales and marketing tool.

With a repertoire of MNC clients based in Singapore, Malaysia, India and the USA, Astrums Consulting is confident that it will continue to capture new markets while expanding existing ones. Astrums Consulting will be able to be more competitive and facilitate its rapid growth through incentives and support programs that the MSC Malaysia status offers.

As a member of MSC Malaysia, Astrums Consulting will have the flexibility to import experienced foreign knowledge workers to ensure stability and sustainable growth to their new operation. However, Astrums Consulting is vigorously looking into the local pool.

MDeC is very serious about addressing the development of local talent. Many of the larger companies who are part of the MSC Malaysia such as Dell, Motorola and Intel have played a significant role in creating a solid base for developing local talent. We will continue to play our part in increasing the availability and competencies of talent,” said Dato’ Badlisham Ghazali, CEO of MDeC.

ASTRUM started employing local fresh graduates and who are interested in venturing in SAP from other technologies, to groom their strength in local talents. They target at least 100 new SAP calibers in their organization within the next 12 months through internal training and support.

Optimistic in their current choice of Malaysia, AstrumInfosys gradually plans to move the functions from their current Singapore office to Malaysia to serve their clients.

Astrums Consulting Sdn Bhd has been appointed as ‘SAP Channel Partner’, an ERP solution very well designed and suited for SME business sectors.
